Sometimes our clients provide us with their business data, such as their customer, supplier or prospect data - which may contain personal data - in order for us to provide them a service. In these instances we are the processor of any personal data contained in their data. Different parts of laws such as the GDPR in the EU apply when we act as a processor and we take these obligations very seriously. The above notice does not apply to our data received from our clients as this does not become Campaigns Ltd data (unless the client has expressly agreed to this). We handle the data our clients provide us in strict accordance with the agreement made with them - and only for the purposes of this agreement.
Consent data is obtained from individuals who have opted in to various offers or promotions and given their consent to receive promotional email marketing messages in accordance with the Terms of Use and Privacy Policy the individual consented to at the time of their opting in as displayed to them clearly on the form they used at the time. We do not make this data available to clients or suppliers and we only use this data for the express purpose agreed to at the time of the individual opting in. Usually this will be restricted to delivering marketing messages to the individual in accordance with their opting in preferences
Since 25th May 2018 GDPR (the EU "General Data Protection Regulation") regulates the processing of personal data relating to the UK. The regulations that govern email marketing in the UK however are still contained in the existing PECR (the UK "Privacy and Electronic Communication Regulations") and we strictly comply with both sets of regulations.
When mailing Consent Data we only send email marketing messages to individuals who have opted in to various offers or promotions and given their consent to receive promotional email marketing messages and only until they withdraw that consent either by clicking on the unsubscribe link contained in every marketing email, or reply to the email asking us to no longer contact them
When mailing Commercial Data we do so under the specific provisions of the PECR stating that individuals within a legal entity - a corporation or a government body for example - may be contacted by email for direct marketing purposes without consent being given providing the individual is given the right to opt out of such communications. While we exercise our right to mail individuals on this basis without their consent, we strictly follow the PECR by having a functional unsubscribe link on every marketing email sent as well as complying with every reply to a marketing email where the individual has expressed a clear desire to no longer receive marketing messages.
We strive for continuous improvement in our services, processes and protecting data subject rights. We will therefore update this privacy notice from time to time. Please check this page on a regular basis.
